Richland Center, WI (May 18, 2026)
–
The Richland Hospital & Clinics is proud to announce Ashley Klingaman, RN, as its latest recipient of the DAISY Award, an international honor recognizing extraordinary nurses for their clinical excellence and compassionate care.
Ashley was nominated by several patients and their families, whose heartfelt stories highlighted the profound impact she has on those she serves. One nomination shared, “The words Ashley spoke made a difference…she saved a life.” Another noted, “She’s a credit to your organization.”
“We couldn’t agree more,” said Ken Nelson, Chief Nursing Officer. “All of Ashley’s nominations, along with the other nine we received, came from patients or their families. We appreciate that they took the time to share their stories. A nurse will often say, ‘It’s just what we do,’ but they make such a difference and ask so little in return.”
The DAISY Award is part of a global program that honors the meaningful and compassionate care nurses provide every day. This year’s nominations underscore the lasting impact nurses have on those in their care.
In addition to Ashley Klingaman, this year’s DAISY Award nominees included Shade Thompson, Jodi Clarson, Maria Riley, Beth Delagrave, Courtney Johnson, Nate Humphreys-Loving, Kami Marshall
Elizabeth Sutherland, and Christina Landis. Each nomination was read, where grateful patients shared stories of finding genuine care. Beth was called out as someone born for this job, while Jodi was noted for settling nerves in the face of a scary procedure. “If you ever question the value of what you do, take a moment to read these,” Nelson said, emotion heavy in his voice.
The Richland Hospital & Clinics congratulates Ashley and all nominees for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to exceptional patient care. You really do make a difference.
The Richland Hospital and Clinics is a nationally awarded health care facility dedicated to caring, educating, and healing. Providing compassionate care for 100 years to residents of the greater Richland County area, TRHC operates an independent, integrated medical practice group in three locations, including rural health clinics in Spring Green and Muscoda and a critical access hospital at its primary location in Richland Center, WI.
All nominees were presented with a DAISY pin in recognition of their nomination.
