Interpreter Services
Language Services
Interpreter services are available for patients who do not speak English or who use sign language to communicate. For assistance with this service, ask your nurse to contact the Hospital’s Clinical Coordinator.
Smoke Free Campus
We Are Smoke-Free
The Richland Hospital, Inc. is a Tobacco-Free Campus.
Smoking and use of tobacco products is PROHIBITED anywhere on property owned by The Richland Hospital, Inc.
Cafeteria & Dietary
HOSPITAL CAFETERIA
The Cafeteria provides lunch, dinner and vending options for staff members and visitors.
LUNCH
Mon- Fri. 11:00 AM- 2 PM
Sat – Sun. 11:00 AM- 1 PM
DINNER
Everyday 4 PM to 6 PM
DIETARY FOR PATIENTS
The Dietary Department provides menus to all Medical/Surgical patients, which offer food options in accordance with the diet prescribed by each patient’s doctor. A representative from Dietary visits you daily with a printed menu from which you select meals for the next day. “Meals on Demand” allows each patient or representative to place an order for meals anytime within the meal service time line
Meal times for patients are:
- Breakfast: 8:00 AM
- Lunch: 12:00 PM
- Dinner: 5:00 PM
Special Diet Preferences
If you have special preferences or problems with your meals, request that a dietician visits you. The dietitian will work with you and your doctor in developing a menu that is satisfying to you, as well as medically correct.
Your visitors may eat with you in your room by arranging for a visitor tray through the main office located on first floor. There is a charge for the trays. Visitors have the option to eat in the cafeteria on second floor, visit the Lobby Shoppe on first floor, or take food back to the patient room, if they prefer.
Birth Center Patients
In the Birth Center, you will find a “Meals on Demand” menu. This menu will list specific times for placing orders, once your diet has been advanced and where to call are all listed on the menu. If you would like to see a dietitian about any nutritional related issues simply let your nurse know and they would be happy to address any of your nutritional related questions.
Your visitors may eat with you in your room by arranging for a visitor tray through the main office located on the first floor. There is a charge for the trays. They are also welcome to eat in the cafeteria or take food back to the patient room if they prefer. Guests may not order off the “Meals on Demand” menu at any time.

Phone & Internet Services
Telephones are available in all patient rooms. Wireless internet is available in many areas of the hospital. Patients and their family members are free to bring their laptops from home. Personal cell phones may be used anywhere in the hospital; however, please keep in mind the privacy of patients when using your phone in public areas of the hospital.
- To make local calls: Dial 8 + local number.
- Long distance calls: Dial 8 + 0 + area code + local number. Be prepared to give your credit card calling number or whatever information that may be required.
- To reach the hospital switchboard, dial “0”.
Hearing Impaired Support
If you need a hearing enhanced telephone, contact your nurse. We also have a special telephone communication system (TDD) available for patients with hearing impairments. Please ask your nurse or the social worker for information about this device.
Spiritual Support
The Spiritual Care Team of the The Richland Hospital Inc. consists of pastors from the community who serve as volunteer Hospital Chaplains. These Spiritual Care Team members are available to offer spiritual and emotional support to hospital patients and their families, as well as support to the hospital staff.
The Spiritual Care Team is available anytime. If you wish to see someone from The Spiritual Care Team, ask your nurse to call the team member of the day.
Hospital Chapel
The Richland Hospital Inc. Chapel is located in the main lobby of the hospital. The chapel is provided for you and your family as a quiet place for prayer and meditation. Please feel free to use the chapel at anytime during your stay. Contact a member of the hospital staff or your nurse, if you need assistance in finding the chapel.

Hospital Lobby Shoppe
Stop in the Hospital Lobby Shoppe to browse and shop the gift selection. The Lobby Shoppe is located on the first floor near the hospital’s main entrance.
