Richland Center, WI – The search for a new provider to work in the Muscoda and Richland Center communities was abundantly successful with the recent hire of Victoria Wilcox, Physician Assistant, Family Medicine. Her well-rounded experience includes primary care for soldiers, and those needing help with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurosurgery, and orthopedic care at various locations, including Fort McCoy, the VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin, and VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia.
Wilcox has a wealth of experience on the civilian side as well. She has diagnosed and managed the care of patients with comprehensive conditions, including heart failure and heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and congenital heart disease in patients of all ages.
Victoria Wilcox’s more recent work in helping patients with substance dependencies, namely opioids, alcohol, Hepatitis C, and depression, fulfils an ever-present need in the communities served by The Richland Hospital and Clinics. “Caring for patients involves much more than just attending to their physical needs; it also encompasses their emotional and spiritual needs,” says Wilcox.
“Victoria Wilcox brings with her a wealth of knowledge from the many places she studied. Her experience in primary care, addiction, urgent care, and military medicine makes her a uniquely qualified addition to The Richland Hospital and Clinics family,” says Lyle Kratochwill, Director of Rural Health Clinics.
Muscoda Health Center will be Victoria Wilcox’s primary location starting in early July. “Eventually we will work in her into rotation to help with Urgent Care coverage at Richland Center,” Kratochwill continues. Please contact The Richland Hospital and Clinics to schedule an appointment today and welcome her to the community.
