About Anna Gilbertson, MD
General Surgery
Dr. Gilbertson is a native to our area, having grown up on the family farm in the Lone Rock area. She provides compassionate care and surgical practice to our community.
Providing a service that helps people, and for which there is a great need, has brought joy and reward to Dr. Gilbertson:
“Most patients come to see a surgeon because they need surgery. There is often anxiety and fear of the unknown. They are sometimes in pain or discomfort and often ashamed or embarrassed by the problem for which they are presenting. I find joy in helping them find that their surgical experience can be much more pleasant and ‘healing’ than they expected. Seeing people leave happier and healthier than how they came in — that is a joy.”
In her free time, Dr. Gilbertson enjoys being in the great outdoors with her two dogs, making music, writing poetry, gardening, raising monarch butterflies, and ballroom dancing.
