Richland Center, WI (April 6, 2026)
—
Partners of The Richland Hospital and Clinics and The Richland Hospital Foundation are pleased to announce health care career–related scholarships are currently available for students pursuing education in the health care field. Individual scholarships range anywhere from $1,000 to $2,500 and help support the future of rural health care.
Both organizations share a long-standing commitment to investing in the next generation of health care professionals. Through their scholarship programs, the Foundation and Partners have helped countless individuals achieve career goals, strengthening the future of health care in the region.
Angie Coenen, Foundation Director, and Cindy Chicker, Partners President, stand in front of the newly installed donor recognition wall by the volunteer desk at The Richland Hospital. “The work we do is because of you.”
“Since we started this program, we’ve watched many students we’ve supported join us as employees of The Richland Hospital and Clinics or go on to have exceptional health care careers elsewhere,” said Cindy Chicker, current Partners president and a member of The Richland Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
“It’s especially rewarding when high school students who have volunteers with us decide a career in health care is right for them,” added Angie Coenen, Foundation Director. “Being able to support their education feels like a full-circle moment.”
Both scholarships are open to residents within The Richland Hospital and Clinics’ service area, including Richland Center, Spring Green and Muscoda. Current employees seeking further education, along with children of employees and volunteers of The Richland Hospital and Clinics, are also eligible to apply.
Applicants must submit completed scholarship applications electronically at
richlandhospital.com
or ensure that applications are postmarked no later than June 15. All application requirements must be completed by the deadline to be considered.
Partners of The Richland Hospital and Clinics fund their scholarships through proceeds from sales at their 100% volunteer-run boutique, the Lobby Shoppe, along with generous donations. Scholarships offered through The Richland Hospital Foundation are made possible by community support, including contributions from employees of The Richland Hospital and Clinics and other committed donors.
“These scholarship programs reflect our community’s dedication to supporting and strengthening the future health care workforce,” said Angie Coenen, Foundation Director.
The Richland Hospital Foundation awarded 22 scholarships in 2025 while Partners of The Richland Hospital and Clinics awarded six.
