Rhonda Mueller, RN, is the most recent recipient of DAISY Award
Richland Center, WI – Rhonda Mueller, RN, of The Richland Hospital and Clinics was recognized earlier this month with a Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Mueller has served as an RN for the organization since 2008 and currently works in the surgical department.
Mueller was nominated by a fellow nurse who became her patient while undergoing a c-section delivery. In her nomination, nurse Heather Thome said Mueller’s care helped get her through what proved to be a challenging delivery. “Her calm, collected presence made all the difference for me,” said Thome.
Carrie Fonkert, director of surgery at the hospital, said “Rhonda Mueller has been a mainstay in the OR at The Richland Hospital & Clinics for decades. Through the years she has always made every patient feel special, feel comfortable, and know they are cared for. Her easy manner and personality make her a favorite of patients who will often request that she be their surgery nurse. We are truly blessed and thankful that Rhonda is with our organization and doubly so that she is in surgical services.”
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was developed to thank nurses everywhere for the work they do for patients and families. The Richland Hospital and Clinics is one of more than 5,000 health care providers worldwide participating in the DAISY Awards.
