At The Richland Hospital, we understand that some patients may no longer require acute hospital care but are not yet ready to safely return home. Our Swing Bed Program provides a bridge between hospitalization and home by offering skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in a comfortable, local setting.
Following surgery, illness, or hospitalization, patients often benefit from additional therapy and clinical support to regain strength and independence. Through our federally approved Swing Bed Program, eligible patients can transition from acute care to skilled nursing services while continuing their recovery under the guidance of a dedicated healthcare team. Patients who received care at another hospital may also transfer to The Richland Hospital to receive Swing Bed services closer to family and friends.
Because we are committed to meeting the needs of our community, Swing Bed availability may vary based on patient volume and bed capacity.
Patients in the Swing Bed Program may receive a variety of skilled care services, including:
Our goal is to help patients regain strength, confidence, and independence while receiving high-quality in their own community.
