Richland Center, WI – On June 21, 2022, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced approval of COVID-19 vaccines for everyone greater than 6 months of age. The Richland Hospital and Clinics (TRHC) will begin to provide the Pfizer vaccine to these children (6 months to 4 years of age) on July 5, 2022.
The dosing schedule for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (6 months to 4 years of age) requires three total doses. The first two doses of the vaccine are given 3 weeks apart, followed by a third dose at least 2 months later.
Appointments for this age group can be scheduled now for visits on July 5 and beyond, either during our Friday vaccine clinics or any regular clinic appointments with providers.
The TRHC pharmacy will also provide a supply of vaccines to Spring Green Medical Center and Muscoda Health Center for use at those sites.
In the meantime, our vaccinators and pharmacy team will be completing recommended training for this age group and getting standard orders in place.
Please contact The Richland Hospital and Clinics at 608.647.6321 to schedule an appointment.
