The Richland Hospital and Clinics uses grant monies to benefit community heart health

Richland Center, WI – Community heart health grant funds awarded to The Richland Hospital and Clinics help area schools and people in the community in so many ways.

TRHC Clinic Coordinator, Heather Thome, says they’ve conducted community education, purchased blood pressure cuffs for each provider in the clinic, and purchased blood pressure cuffs for patients in the community. TRHC has also performed data collection and evaluation on how they are caring for patients with heart conditions throughout the facility.

After careful evaluation of the greatest need within the TRHC service area, Riverdale and Ithaca School Districts were gifted AEDs (automated external defibrillators). Each district received three AEDs along with wall cabinets, carrying bags, signage, and one AED trainer. Students, administrators and safety committee members were on hand for the presentation by Heather Thome.

The Richland Hospital and Clinics is a nationally awarded health care facility dedicated to caring, educating, and healing. Providing compassionate care for 100 years to residents of the greater Richland County area, TRHC operates an independent, integrated group medical practice in three locations, including rural health clinics in Spring Green and Muscoda and a critical access hospital at its primary location in Richland Center, WI.
