The Richland Hospital and Clinics urgent care is open seven days a week

Richland Center, WI – The Richland Hospital and Clinics continues to expand its urgent care services, adding another full-time provider last month. The clinic is now open for walk-ins seven days a week, and the demand for services continues to increase. Over the Christmas weekend, the hospital’s urgent care saw a record number of patients.

“We understood there was an increased need for accessible urgent care within our community,” said VP of Clinic Services Brian Puls. “Throughout the year we’ve been engaging with candidates, seeking out providers drawn to the urgent care environment who would allow us to expand our services.”

Becky Malkow, APNP, was the organization’s most recent hire, the fourth to join the team this year. Andrea Cherry, PA-C; Yakub Ellias, MD; and Karen Sinnett, APNP, all joined the urgent care team earlier in the year. Marcia Auliff, APNP, also works in the clinic. “The providers we have in urgent care all share a common commitment to taking their time with

patients,” Puls said. “That’s a quality we were looking for in candidates: providers who could sustain patient-centered care even in the bustle of the urgent care setting.”
