No matter what your addictive behavior, SMART Recovery can help

For over two decades SMART Recovery has been offering free support groups helping people learn self-empowering tools and providing support for each other in recovery. The goal of SMART Recovery is for you to achieve a healthy, positive and balanced lifestyle so you can conquer new challenges when you feel confident your addictive behavior is behind you.

SMART Recovery has now come to Richland Center “This is a great opportunity for anyone suffering from any type of substance abuse,” Dr. Andy Wright said. “We are fortunate to have a one year commitment from Terry Lins, a certified AODA counselor, who has also completed training as a Certified SMART Recovery group facilitator. He brings vast experience and insight, and great familiarity with 12 step recovery.”

According to Lins, the program can work in conjunction with AA, but it does not have to. It is a 4-Point Program that serves as an important part of an addict’s recovery. A mutual support group, SMART Recovery is free to attend and open to the public.
