Athlete of the Month Program

make up the Richland Sports Medicine Team. The team provides:

 | Sports event coverage |
 | Body composition for wrestlers |
 | Emergency action plans |

Thomas Beck, MD
Orthopedic Surgeon,
Director of Sports Medicine
Dr. Beck directs the Richland Sports Medicine Program. His abilities make it possible for local athletes to stay close to home for orthopedic
procedures. As a result, the athlete's recuperation and rehabilitation may
be expedited. Dr. Becks experience in working with sports acceleration
programs and high intensity training has led to the availability of new
services within the program.

Kim Darcy-Liska, MSPT
Physical Therapist,
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Kim works closely with athletes as a member of the sports medicine team in
the rehabilitation center. She is certified by the WIAA to conduct skin
fold testing for area wrestling teams and helps to establish policies and procedures for the sports medicine program.

Sharon Panske, LAT
Certified & Licensed Athletic Trainer
Sharon is the Athletic Trainer for Richland Center High School
and UW Richland. Sharon graduated from the University of Oshkosh with a degree in
Physical Education, emphasis in coaching and minors in Athletic Training
and Health Education. Sharon spent 18 years at UW Oshkosh as the head
softball coach for 17 years, assistant volleyball coach for 4 years as
well as an assistant athletic trainer for 14 years. As athletic trainer,
she covered men's soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, men's and women's
tennis, cross-country and swimming and diving.
Sharon resides in Richland Center with her dog Jackson. She enjoys
kayaking, golfing, traveling and the outdoors. |

Kyle Berra, ATC, LAT
Certified & Licensed Athletic Trainer
Kyle is the Athletic Trainer for Riverdale and Ithaca High Schools and
UW Richland.
Kyle graduated from Luther College with a degree in
Physical Education and a minor in Athletic Training. He was an Athletic
Trainer at Sauk Prairie Hospital for 4 years, providing coverage primarily
to Lodi High School. Along with his Athletic Training certification, he is
also a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA) and a Certified Weight Trainer (IWA).
Kyle is also certified by the WIAA as a skin-fold measurer for the wrestling
minimum weight program.
Kyle lives in North Freedom with his wife Jami and son
Collin, as well as a cat and a pair of dogs. Aside from spending time with
his family, he enjoys fishing, golf, and pretty much anything else outdoors.
