Med/Surg

Nurse's hand on patient's hand

Our state of the art, med/surg and special care units are the result of a 2009 renovation project that added space and efficiency. Warm colors, increased space, and more natural light create a healing, relaxed setting. The modern design and new technology were both part of the project.

While the physical updates are important, we want you to know we are also focused on bringing you kind, personal, and professional care. It is our priviledge to care for you.

Respite Care

For those families caring for an elderly or disabled relative, The Richland Hospital offers the availability of temporary care to persons needing supervised, short-term personalized care so that regular caregivers can take a break.

These services are through prior arrangement only by contacting either the Discharge Planner or Clinical Coordinator. A pre-admission nursing assessment for the purpose of determining level of care and appropriateness for respite services must be done prior to your arrival at the hospital.
