Coordinator of Perioperative Services
The Richland Hospital, Inc., a twenty-five bed Critical
Access Hospital, located in Richland Center, WI is currently recruiting for
a Coordinator of Perioperative Services. This position is responsible for
planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall surgical services
operations of the facility in accordance with current regulatory standards
and guidelines. And, in conjunction with the CNO, and Chief of Surgery
provides for fiscally responsible and clinically appropriate services that
meet the surgical needs of our community. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS or
RESPONSIBILITES: Establishes and meets performance expectations for each of
the long-term objectives. Directs the recruiting, interviewing, and
selection of new staff members. Responsible for training and orienting new
staff members. Provides ongoing feedback to staff regarding their
performance and annually completes an employee performance assessment for
all staff. Establishes and implements a departmental competency plan for
staff. Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and
support the provision of services as well as meets regulatory standards.
Establishes and implements a quality improvement program within the
department. Identifies opportunities to improve customer service. Ensures
the daily functioning of the department is running smoothly. Promotes a
cohesive environment and maintains positive and professional relations with
internal and external personnel. Evaluates the appropriateness and
effectiveness of care delivery on an ongoing basis. Assists with patient
care. QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced Practice Nurse with a minimum of MS in
Nursing. Demonstrated nursing leader with OR background and knowledge
regarding OR processes. Demonstrated experience in evaluating clinical care
delivery, improving processes and program development. Excellent
interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position.
