  2. Spring Western District meeting had 6 local members attending. Ruth heard that several hospitals have had their nursing homes closed due to limited funding. The main speaker was a physical therapist with a topic “Improving Your Health as You Age” The speaker suggested use of butter or Smart Balance. Check your medications, put tablets in water or vinegar. If they do not do not dissolve is 20 minutes, they are not being used by your body, doing you no good. Ruth shared a hand-out with excellent tips.
