Our 2009 salad luncheon, held on April 28 was a great success. We owe a large Thank You to all who participated. We thank the Calling Committee who did a great job of getting salads lined up for us. We thank everyone who donated a salad. What a great variety. We received many compliments. And, of course, we thank everyone who worked that day, starting with set up, which began at 7:30 AM until we finished about 3:00 PM. Everyone worked long and hard. We also owe a big Thank You to the hospital for the many donated items that contributed to our successful day. We sold 201 tickets this year compared to 157 in 2008. We estimate that we will have about $1200 in profit this year to put toward scholarships or a hospital project and we could not have done it without each and everyone who participated. Our committee met Wednesday, May 27 to go over results and note changes for the future. At that time we set the date for our 2010 luncheon which will be Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Thank you, everyone who made this year’s luncheon such a success.

Our business meeting was preceded by the awarding of scholarships. Partners give scholarships to students who are pursuing a career in a medical field and who are in at least their second year of schooling for that career. On this date we awarded 20 scholarships which were given out by Carolyn Dray. At the same time the Richland Hospital awarded 23 scholarships given out by CEO, Steve Nockerts. Following this ceremony our business meeting took place.
Call to order- The meeting was called to order by Co-president, Rosalee Wheat.

“WARM” GREETING TO ALL,
Summer is here, suddenly. Over the past 45 years I have learned this is typical of Wisconsin weather, “wait until tomorrow” I was told.
Our Spring Fling flower and Cheesecake sale, Geranium and hanging basket sale were successful as usual. The Salad Luncheon was a big success. This is the second year for this event and a big thank you goes to Kay Wyman and her committee.
The wonderful support of Partners members and the community in all the fundraising events has made it possible for Partners to give $8000 for scholarships in 2009. The Scholarship Committee has met and in conjunction with Richland Hospital, our scholarships and the hospital scholarships will be presented at the JULY 23, 2009 PARTNERS QUARTERLY MEETING – 5:30 PM IN PIPPIN HALL. Please plan on attending to show support to these deserving individuals who are pursuing a career in the medical field, Hors d oeuvres will be served.
