The Richland Hospital Foundation
held its 10th Annual Golf Gala at the House on the
Rock Resort in Spring Green. 140 golfers gathered to play 18 holes of golf
and enjoy prizes, food and the best weather a golfer could wish for.
The funds raised, totaled $15,000 after expenses, and will be used to
renovate the nurses station on the 2nd floor in-patient wing.
The station is in much need of an upgrade to help facilitate more
employees and continue to accommodate a high standard of confidentiality.
Cost of the project is projected between $40,000 and $50,000.
The hole-in-one prize was sponsored by Fillback Ford offering a two
year lease of a 2003 Ford Escape. Unfortunately no one hit the mark. The
event also included a raffle and auction consisting of golf clubs and
equipment donated by Reg and Becky Myers
Top prize in the raffle went to Jim Nelson, winning a full set of
Callaway Hawkeye irons valued at $1,300.00. First place team included Dick
Beggs, Gary Peckham, Kerry Larsen, and Tom Williams.
The dinner served consisting of burgers, brats and chicken was
sponsored by Dean Health Care System.
