Pharmacist

The Richland Hospital, Inc. a 25-bed Critical Access and Joint Commission accredited hospital is seeking a Registered Pharmacist. This is an irregular, part-time position, averaging 36 hours per pay period and it includes an every third weekend rotation.  The Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and consulting with patients and other healthcare providers on issues relating to drug-related problems and optimal drug therapy.    An ideal candidate will have experience working in a hospital pharmacy, must hold a current WI Pharmacy License and must have excellent communication skills, a collaborative style and commitment to customer service, quality and patient safety.  Experience with Meditech will be helpful.  We offer competitive pay!

Surgical Technician

Accounts Receivable Application Specialist

The Richland Hospital has a full-time position available for an Accounts Receivable Application Specialist in the Patient Accounting department. This position will serve as the Billing/Accounts Receivable (B/AR) application team leader and is responsible for the maintenance and updates of billing related applications. This includes identifying testing requirements within a highly integrated, technically complex system, managing the process for testing, and defining solutions for training needs.

This position will work with management to prioritize opportunities for optimization within B/AR and lead the process to achieve solutions. This position will serve as the liaison between B/AR and any third party application sending or receiving data necessary to the accounts receivable business functions such as claims clearinghouse and electronic remittance advices, statement vendors, etc.; managing security protocols; serving as the liaison and operational point person to facilitate the outsourced billing of all Medicare claims and the primary liaison to work with Meditech and in-house IT personnel. Responsible for data analysis to support proactive response to changes in AR metrics and B/AR related reporting to support the needs of the organization.

A successful candidate will understand the functions of patient accounting and will be methodical in their ability to problem-solve in a calm, thoughtful manner. The candidate must be detail oriented and comfortable in a computerized environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple skill levels, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

The following experience and education are required and/or preferred:

  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve for functionality and efficiency in a computerized environment is required;
  • Demonstrated ability to document protocols or policies in a business setting is preferred;
  • Experience in hospital billing or patient registration including knowledge of DRG, CPT, ICD-9 (soon to be ICD-10) details as well as UB and 1500 claims management is preferred;
  • a business or accounting degree (2-year minimum) or three to five years of experience in a computerized business environment is required.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

The Richland Hospital Anesthesia Department is currently seeking a part time CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). This position has become available due to the impending retirement of a half-time CRNA.

The CRNA will provide comprehensive anesthesia services in a cohesive rural community hospital as a respected member of a multidisciplinary health care team. This all CRNA group consists of two full time CRNA’s and two part-time CRNA’s who cover anesthetic services for 3 Operating Suites, Labor & Delivery, a Procedure room and emergency anesthetic services. All anesthesia administration areas have been updated and recently remodeled.

Scope of practice includes: the independent delivery of anesthetics (regional, epidural, spinal, and general) to our surgical and obstetric clients. Specific functions include pre-anesthetic evaluation of patients and the subsequent delivery of general and regional anesthesia, experience in responding to emergency situations as well as pain management in the peri-anesthesia period.

We are seeking an individual who is progressive, knowledgeable, forward thinking, competent, caring, independent, responsive and motivated. We offer a challenging position as a member of a cohesive group that provides 24 hour anesthetic care in a rural critical access hospital.
Applicants must meet all current graduation and certification requisites for the State of Wisconsin as an APNP, we also seek a candidate who maintains certification in ACLS, PALS and NALS.
