Accounts Receivable Application Specialist

The Richland Hospital has a full-time position available for an Accounts Receivable Application Specialist in the Patient Accounting department. This position will serve as the Billing/Accounts Receivable (B/AR) application team leader and is responsible for the maintenance and updates of billing related applications. This includes:

  • Working with management to prioritize opportunities for optimization within B/AR and lead the process to achieve solutions.
  • Serving as the point person for day to day problem solving within the B/AR application to include staff training and support.
  • Identifying testing requirements for process changes and system updates within a highly integrated, technically complex system, managing testing process, and defining solutions for training needs.
  • Serving as primary liaison to work with Meditech, in-house Meditech application leads, in-house IT and EHR personnel.
  • Serving as the liaison between B/AR and any third party application sending or receiving data necessary to the accounts receivable business functions such as claims clearinghouse and electronic remittance advices, statement vendors, etc.
  • Analyzing data to support proactive response to changes in AR metrics and B/AR related reporting to support the needs of the organization.
  • Managing application and payer specific security access.
  • Serving as the liaison and operational point person to facilitate the outsourced billing of all Medicare claims.

A successful candidate will understand the functions of patient accounting and will be methodical in their ability to problem-solve in a calm, thoughtful manner. The candidate must be detail oriented and comfortable in a computerized environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple skill levels, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

The following education and experience are required:

  • A business, management information systems, or accounting degree (2-year minimum) or three to five years of experience in a computerized business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve for functionality and efficiency in a computerized environment.

The following experience is preferred:

  • Experience with Meditech v6.0 or higher is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to document protocols or policies in a business setting.
  • Experience in hospital billing or patient registration including knowledge of DRG, CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10 details as well as UB04 and 1500 claims management.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

The Richland Hospital Anesthesia Department is currently seeking a part time CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). This position has become available due to the impending retirement of a half-time CRNA.

The CRNA will provide comprehensive anesthesia services in a cohesive rural community hospital as a respected member of a multidisciplinary health care team. This all CRNA group consists of two full time CRNA’s and two part-time CRNA’s who cover anesthetic services for 3 Operating Suites, Labor & Delivery, a Procedure room and emergency anesthetic services. All anesthesia administration areas have been updated and recently remodeled.

Scope of practice includes: the independent delivery of anesthetics (regional, epidural, spinal, and general) to our surgical and obstetric clients. Specific functions include pre-anesthetic evaluation of patients and the subsequent delivery of general and regional anesthesia, experience in responding to emergency situations as well as pain management in the peri-anesthesia period.

We are seeking an individual who is progressive, knowledgeable, forward thinking, competent, caring, independent, responsive and motivated. We offer a challenging position as a member of a cohesive group that provides 24 hour anesthetic care in a rural critical access hospital.
Applicants must meet all current graduation and certification requisites for the State of Wisconsin as an APNP, we also seek a candidate who maintains certification in ACLS, PALS and NALS.

Registered Dietitian/Certified Diabetes Educator

The Richland Hospital, Inc. currently has an opening for a part-time, approximately 35 hours per week, Registered Dietitian. This is primarily a day shift position, rotating every third weekend and an occasional holiday. The Dietitian is responsible for the nutritional care of both inpatients and outpatients including assessment, consultation, and education. The Richland Hospital has an ADA recognized Diabetes Education Program. This position will provide diabetes diet education and consultation to individuals of all ages, groups and the community; providing expert clinical leadership through education, research, interventions/consultations and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Dietetics from an accredited school.
  • Certified to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator or the willingness to become certified.
  • Broad knowledge of clinical nutrition for all population groups.

A successful candidate will have excellent communication/counseling skills and experience preparing and presenting nutrition education for individuals and groups. The Hospital offers a competitive wage and benefits.

Registered Nurse – Special Care Unit

The Richland Hospital, Inc. currently has a position available for a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Unit that would also flex to the Medical/Surgical Unit. This is a twelve hour, night shift position, 1-2 scheduled shifts per week. The scheduled shifts involve an every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Wisconsin; CPR and ACLS certification required; and, a minimum of one year medical/surgical experience preferred.
