Our Lobby Shoppe is our best revenue source. We sell cards, bakery,
gifts and food. Hot breakfast and lunch items as well as salads and
sandwiches in our cooler. We have one employee, Bobbi Packard / foods
director, and Shoppe volunteer Kay Wyman who go to Market together and stock
our Lobby Shoppe. They recently put white lace shelf covers which really
gave it new life. Partner volunteers work ½ days. We also have some crafts
people who sell items on consignment as towels, jewelry, cards, and spud
bags which we heard about at a Partners District meeting last year.
-Our volunteers knit or crochet baby caps, circulate
the book cart to patients, and staff the Blood Center in Pippin Hall.
-Scholarships this year totaled $6,900, to 10 students
in the health field, on July, 26th.
-We voted to put money into CDs and Money Account for
the purchase of TVs and the players with them after the remodeling is
finished next year. Total at this time is $39,413.43.
-We give $25.00 to our Hospital Foundation when one of
our members die.
-We sponsor the Whale project, new baby shirts and have
brother and sister shirts in the Lobby. Volunteen Program and Safe Sitter
program are also sponsored.
Our Hospital has hired a new Volunteer Coordinator,
Deanna Gochenaur who is a great asset to our Partners as well. She has
worked hard to get in place and staff a new Lobby Welcome Desk, which is
working out well. Directions and wheel chair help are offered to clinic and
hospital patients or visitors.
We encourage new members to find their niche in
volunteering where their talents fit.
We are thankful for all of our members and past
officers as we continue to work together.
